How it works

Moonstone is made in two steps: a Pressure Chamber turns dust into sand, then a Stone Press turns sand into stone. The calculator works backwards from your target: stone per minute gives the sand the presses need, which gives the chambers and the raw dust to feed them.

Machine counts are rounded up, so the line can always reach the target. The result also shows spare sand, power, total cost and margin per minute. Recipes and prices come from community databases; each one is listed with its source on the machine pages.

Reading the result

  • If presses wait for sand, add a chamber; if sand piles up, add a press.
  • The ratio pages compare the common layouts side by side.
  • Size your solar field next with the power calculator.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best chamber to press ratio in Moon Sweepers?

It depends on your dust supply and target. The calculator gives the exact counts for your target, and the ratio guide explains why the balanced layouts work.

Does the calculator include power and cost?

Yes. It shows the power draw of the line and a total cost that includes machines, solar panels and belts, plus the margin per minute.

Are these official numbers?

No. The studio publishes no machine statistics. The values come from community databases, with source, game version and confidence shown on each machine page.
