How it works

Each upgrade has a base price per level. The garage multiplies it by the vehicle price divided by $1,000, kept between 0.5x and 3x, then rounds to the nearest $10. A cheap Push Sweeper pays half the base price; a Mega Vacuum Rover pays three times.

Big Hopper, Suction Control and Quick Release exist only on the sweepers. The base prices and the rule come from two community databases that agree once the multiplier is applied; see the vehicle database.

Reading the result

  • Upgrade the vehicle you will keep: the same level costs five times more on a Lunar Sweeper than on a Push Sweeper.
  • Tick the vehicle price to compare buying a bigger sweeper with upgrading the one you have.
  • Station upgrades for your suit and tools are in the upgrade planner.

Frequently asked questions

Why do vehicle upgrades cost different amounts?

The price scales with the vehicle: base price times vehicle price divided by $1,000, between 0.5x and 3x, rounded to $10.

Can I put a Big Hopper on any vehicle?

No. Hopper, suction and unload upgrades are only for the sweepers. The calculator hides them for other vehicles.

Are these prices official?

No. They come from community databases built from the game files and are not confirmed by the studio. Check the sources page.
