Moon Sweepers power calculator
Enter the power your machines draw. The calculator compares the three solar panels by count and total price.
Solar panel calculator
Chamber 10 kW, press 18 kW.
0 means daytime only. Unpublished in game.
| Panel | Count | Cost | Night |
|---|---|---|---|
| Solar Twin (M) | 4 | $600 | no night modelled |
| Solar Tracker (L) | 2 | $600 | no night modelled |
| Solar Post (S) | 10 | $750 | no night modelled |

How it works
Each panel has a peak output in kW and a small built-in battery. The calculator divides your draw by each panel’s peak, rounds up and multiplies by its price, so you can see which panel is cheapest per kW for your factory.
Night and day lengths are not published: enter your own assumption, or leave night at 0 for daytime only. Peak output is not night output. The Battery Bank stores energy for the night but adds no kW of its own, and its charge efficiency is an unverified assumption shown as such.
Reading the result
- Use the factory draw from the factory calculator or the planner.
- Add a margin for night time and for machines you will add later.
- Panel stats and sources are on the Solar Post, Solar Twin and Solar Tracker pages.
Frequently asked questions
How many solar panels do I need in Moon Sweepers?
Divide your factory draw in kW by the peak output of the panel you choose and round up. The calculator does it for all three panels at once.
Which solar panel is the best value?
Compare the total cost column: the cheapest panel per kW for your draw is the best value, but bigger panels save space.
Do batteries add power?
No. A Battery Bank stores energy produced by panels; it does not add kW to your grid.
